You can visit the historic Port Adelaide which is known for its boat cruises, buildings, and dolphin watches. Or you can take a trip down to the Pultney St. to see the Rundle Lantern light display that runs from dark to about midnight each night.
Haigh's Chocolate is located at Greenhill Rd, in Unley Park. If you like chocolate (who doesn’t) this is the place to visit not least for the free samples!. The Adelaide Botanic Gardens, are a no-cost fun place to visit and are found right in the middle of the city. This is a good place for a picnic while you’re out and about. food and wine
Adelaide has long been known for its famous wine regions but is also making a name for itself in food and culinary circles. It’s the gateway to some of best wine regions in Australia and all within easy reaching distance of Adelaide:
You have to check out WOMAD (World of Music Arts and Dance) in March and the Royal Adelaide Show while you’re there. There is a lot going on every Spring in Adelaide. There’s the Clipsal 500 racing event (which also brings with it huge street parties) and of course the Adelaide Fringe Festival is a must-see as well (people come from all over the world just for this event).
for the artist inside you
Adelaide is also home to many museums and art galleries which should satisfy most art lovers. Some of the most popular museums and galleries include the Art Gallery of South Australia, South Australian Museum, and the South Australian Maritime Museum where you can see ship wrecks. You might even spot dolphins swimming past Port Adelaide while you’re there.
